Rising Costs Makes for Rising Menu prices - Rising restaurant costs have been absorbed to a large degree by the restaurants themselves. Now at the profitability breaking point, some of the expenses will be passed onto the customers. We are a long way from a $20 Big Mac but you may see the dollar menus getting a little smaller while average menu item prices inch up.
