Top Pet Peeves for Diners

Needless to say, we are fans of restaurants at here at Clipper. Not just because they are our clients but because we like to eat out too.

For a restaurant owner, nothing can sour an evening more than unhappy customers. While of course plenty can go wrong in the kitchen after an order is made, the service can color not only their dining experience, but their permanent opinions of the establishment as well.

The folks over at The Daily Meal ran a poll (read it here) to determine what pet peeves are likely to turn restaurant customers off the most. It's probably not surprising that the two biggest ones are those having nothing to do with the kitchen.

The disappearing waiter trick topped off the list with a whopping 61% with long waits for a table taking the second spot at 26%. So while we always suggest a strong focus on the kitchen (full of Clipper foodservice supplies and restaurant supplies of course), don't let customers encounter these problems before the food even arrives.
